Contributor's Corner: Favorite Film Series To Gorge On
During the dawn of Viddy Well, we asked each interested contributor to fill out the same questionnaire. The questions spanned from grave to goofy, but the replies were nearly always unexpected. This week we'll take a look at the following question:
What’s your favorite film series to gorge on?
Julia Stecyk:
The Star Wars saga; seeing Lucas's vision for the early films and seeing how much they've changed, but kept the essentials as well, is enough to keep me going film after film.
Anthony Cleveland:
Friday the 13th. I don’t really like to binge any film series, but Friday the 13th is fun to watch one night after the next; Campy, gory, and very 80s.
Brenda Torres:
I have a Blu-Ray set of all the Harry Potter movies and I usually like to bust them out during November and December because they get me in the holiday spirit. The Great Hall and its awesome feasts, the scenes of snow-covered Hogsmeade, the robes and scarves, I could go on for days. I need a treacle tart and a butterbeer just thinking about it!
Blake Haughton:
Haha, so two answers here. There's always going to be Star Wars, and then there's garbage media in Neil Breen movies. Though technically not confirmed as a series by Breen, all his movies are hilarious and so much fun to watch and make fun of.
Aaron Haughton:
I'd probably go with Indiana Jones. Since I don't count the fourth film (or likely any subsequent Jones film they try to pump out), it's a short watch, and could even be devoured in one day. Plus, Temple of Doom has a really great feast scene.
